Playa Flamingo - Costa Rica
Playa Flamingo is situated in the northern Pacific area of Costa Rica, also called the Goldcoast. It is one of the beach resorts that have developed along the coast of Guanacaste province and has a beautiful white sandy beach flanked by low altitude hills. Offshore is the small island of Plata. This is an area for the active, drawing visitors with its beaches and bird watching, horseback riding and mountain lake windsurfing. Forming the eastern border of the province are a group of volcanoes that form the Cordillera de Guanacaste and Cordillera de Tilarán. For those interested in more than beaches and crystal waters, there are the tropical and humid premontane transition forests that characterize the Santa Rosa National Park with it's extensive savannas.
