Qasigiannguit - Greenland

Qasigiannguit, called the Pearl of the Disko Bay, is a town located in western Greenland on the southeastern shore of Disko Bay. It is the second oldest town in Greenland and was founded in 1734 and was founded as a trading post for Jacob Severin's company in 1734 and named Christianshaab in honor of King Christian VI of Denmark. Visit Egede House Museum, located in Paul Egede's former residence, Greenland's oldest surviving wooden building completed in 1734.
