Roermond is a town in the southeastern part of the Netherlands on on the east bank of the Meuse river. It became a town in 1231 and the town centre has been designated as a conservation area. The skyline of this historic town is dominated by the towers of its two churches: St. Christopher Cathedral and Roermond Minster or 'Munsterkerk' in Dutch.
