Mallacoota - Vic - Australia

Mallacoota is a small town and the last official township on Victoria's east coast before the border with New South Wales. It is halfway between Melbourne and Sydney when travelling via Princes Highway. It is known for its wild flowers, abalone industry, and the inlet estuary consisting of Top Lake and Bottom Lake, cliffs, beaches and mountains. It is surrounded by the Croajingolong National Park, a beautiful holiday spot for boating, fishing, walking the wilderness coast, swimming, birdwatching, and surfing. Croajingolong's landscapes and ecosystems are so valuable that UNESCO has nominated it a World Biosphere Reserve. More than 300 species of birds and more than 1,000 plant species flourish here. .
