Kenai Fjords National Park - USA, Alaska
The Kenai Fjords National Park is located on the Kenai Peninsula southwest of Seward and is best seen from the water. Here you are surrounded by spectacular mountain and glacial scenery and wildlife - watch for puffins, orcas, seals, and sea lions along the shore of the remote and spectacular cliff-walled fjords. Fifty years ago these fjords were ice-filled but the glaciers have retreated leaving new islands and freshly scoured cliffs.Look out for Aialak Cape, seemingly a huge boulder thrusting skyward and Three Hole Point, a towering sea arch formed by wave erosion. Sea mammals thrive in these waters and more than 200,000 seabirds including tufted and horned puffins nest on the rocky islands and capes. The following 6 cruises call at Kenai Fjords National Park.
