Malmo is a city in southern Sweden on the Oresund opposite Copenhagen, Denmark. Malmo is an important transport centre and a major seaport, noted for shipbuilding and the manufacture of cigars, sugar, beer, and woollens. Its most famous building is the 15th-century Malmohus Castle, which now houses Malmo Museum.
