Kampen - Netherlands
The city of Kampen is situated along the River Ijssel close to the point where it flows into Zuiderzee. Kampen was once an important port and member of the Hanseatic League and has one of the best preserved old town centres in the Netherlands featuring well preserved gable buidings. The Oude Raadhuis (Town Hall) is well worth a visit to see the richly paneled Aldermen's Room, carved fireplace and House of Orange portraits. From here you can visit the Mien Ruys Gardens which features 25 different gardens over five acres, Giethoorn, a pretty village in the heart of the De Wieden Nature Reserve or Wilsum with its church (1050). The following 18 cruises call at Kampen. Please note that these are vacation departure dates and not necessarily sailing dates.
