On the east side you will find Furufjördur, Tharalátursfjördur and Reykjafjördur, from where you will have a good and near view of the northern side of the Drangajökull glacier . Walkers can hike from one fjord to the next on an old trail with cairns. In Furufjördur there are bogs and lakes, and in Reykjafjördur hot pools, in which you can bathe.
